Estates Operative (Grounds)

Job Summary
Maintain lawns, flower beds, hedges, shrubs and woodland areas to a high standard; mow grass, trim hedges, prune trees and care for planting schemes; monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases; water plants and maintain irrigation; keep pathways and outdoor areas clean, safe and accessible; support upkeep of village structures and outdoor equipment; carry out routine inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly; maintain tools and equipment in good working order; follow health and safety procedures including COSHH; complete required compliance checks; work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent service to residents.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in gardening, landscaping or a related outdoor maintenance role
- A passion for grounds maintenance and creating attractive outdoor spaces
- Good practical skills and the ability to use gardening equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- A team-focused attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service
- Physical stamina and fitness to carry out outdoor duties in all weather conditions
