Job Summary
Patrol work sites on foot to detect intrusions and secure entry points, while investigating disturbances, answering alarms, and responding to emergencies by contacting law enforcement. Conduct metal detecting searches and perform access control procedures to regulate site entry and departure. Write daily activity reports detailing irregularities such as equipment damage, theft, or unauthorized persons. Assist clients with physical security, safety measures, domestic and international travel, and local commutes. Interact with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and visitors to enforce applicable laws and policies. Schedule includes Friday and Saturday shifts from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with part-time availability ranging from 12 to 50 hours weekly. Armed agents with valid permits qualify for additional shifts.
Required Qualifications
- California Guard Card (BSIS permit)
- Firearms Permit (BSIS permit)
- Chemical Agent
- 2-4 years experience in estate protection, military, or law enforcement
- GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college
- Valid Guard Card issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
- Valid Exposed Firearm permit issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, such as long periods of standing with professional posture
- Excellent ENGLISH verbal and written skills
- Have a neat professional appearance
- Have access to reliable transportation
- Have a track record of being ON-TIME to work and having integrity in your work
- A cell phone that receives text messages and has access to the internet as well as an email address
- Applicants will be subjected to pre-employment drug screening
- Schedule : Friday & Saturday 10p-6a
- Security Agents typically work as needed 12-50 hours a week
