Job Summary
Advise clients on estate planning, trusts, probate, and related wealth and legacy planning matters. Prepare, review, and update revocable living trusts and comprehensive estate planning documents. Manage probate matters from initial strategy through administration and resolution. Guide clients and families through complex estate and trust administration issues while identifying opportunities to protect assets and minimize unnecessary probate exposure. Apply strong legal judgment to matters involving trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Communicate directly with clients in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner. Collaborate with the team to deliver a high-quality client experience and keep matters moving efficiently. Bring an ownership mindset to your caseload, client relationships, and overall contribution to the practice.
Required Qualifications
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- 10+ probate cases handled independently or with significant responsibility
- Experience with 100+ revocable living trusts
- Strong estate planning, trust, probate, and client counseling experience
- Valid driver's license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of California Medi-Cal and long-term care asset rules
- Experience in a law firm, in-house legal environment, or solo practice
