Job Summary
Connect with individuals to understand their financial challenges and guide them through options; support the setup and management of insolvency files (including bankruptcies and consumer proposals); review financial information for accuracy; prepare documentation under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act; act as a reliable contact for clients, creditors, and stakeholders with clear, empathetic communication; build relationships with professionals in the community; participate in outreach and online engagement to promote debt solutions and financial wellness; bring a thoughtful analytical approach to assets and liabilities to help clients make informed decisions; contribute to improving client experience and service delivery; travel locally when required.
Required Qualifications
- 4–5 years insolvency experience performing initial client consultations and assessing financial situations
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, especially assets and liabilities, with an analytical mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills for sensitive situations and clear explanations
- Ability to build relationships with professionals in the community (credit counsellors, lawyers, accountants)
- Willingness to travel locally
- Completion of insolvency-related courses (e.g., Insolvency Administration or BIA Insolvency Counsellor) is an asset
