Job Summary
Experienced EST4 Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, and commission Edwards EST3/EST4 fire alarm systems; configure panels, devices, and network components using manufacturer software; read blueprints and technical specifications; perform startups, testing, diagnostics, and repairs; ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and local codes. Collaborates with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors (AHJs), and customers; prepares service documentation, test reports, and deficiency reports; mentors junior technicians and participates in ongoing manufacturer training. Requires strong field experience, ability to work independently, OSHA 10 or 30 certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening; NICET II or higher is preferred. May involve after-hours, weekend, and travel assignments; physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varied construction environments with PPE.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of fire alarm installation/service experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
