Job Summary
Conduct Essential Skills tutoring for government-funded Skills for Life and Work, ApprenticeshipsNI, and private students by delivering tailored lessons in communication, numeracy, and ICT. Create an inclusive learning environment through engaging lesson plans while providing ongoing support and feedback to help learners overcome challenges and achieve personal and professional goals. Deliver qualifications in alignment with awarding bodies and mentoring students toward programme success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- A Degree in the subject specialism (Numeracy/Literacy/ICT)
- Recognised Teaching Qualification OR Achievement of the Certificate in Teaching (Yr 1 of the PGCE) within one year in post*
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport
- This role is subject to a clear ACCESSNI Enhanced Vetting Check to ensure the applicant can work in REGULATED ACTIVITY
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering qualifications
