Job Summary
Provide instructional support to students individually or in small groups; reinforce instruction in reading, language arts, mathematics, and functional academic skills; assist with implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom activities; support students with communication, social, and daily living skills as directed by the teacher; assist with materials, assignments, and assessments; monitor student progress and report observations; supervise students in classrooms and hallways; support behavioral interventions and positive behavior strategies; may assist with students’ toileting needs; maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain confidentiality
- Must pass required criminal background checks
