Job Summary
Craft a classroom vision and execute the year's curriculum aligned to state standards, providing differentiated instruction and direct teaching in centers. Develop instructional materials, assess student learning through daily exit slips and unit tests, and hold weekly data meetings to drive instruction. Record grades, report attendance, and collaborate with the Special Education Instructor to ensure IEP goals are met. Provide regular feedback to parents via conferences and progress reports while modeling character development and a positive environment. Support the school culture by participating in staff meetings, committees, and team efforts. Note that coaching at least one sport per year may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Has at least a bachelor's degree
- Has at least a bachelor's degree and working towards teaching certification and license in subject teaching
- Has at least two years of successful classroom experience with a title 1 school
- Uses data to inform decisions and is achievement driven
- Has demonstrated mastery of lesson planning and long-term planning
- Has outstanding behavior management and investment system
- Has demonstrated mastery in time-management skills
- Has exceptional problem-solving skills and values feedback
- Has knowledge of the Common Core
- Fosters relational capacity among staff, parents and students
- Ability to Coach at least 1 sport per year
