Job Summary
Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate esports sessions for K–12 students, introducing teamwork, strategy, and digital citizenship through structured instruction and gameplay. Adapt lessons based on student experience levels, site requirements, and available technology while supporting skill development via practices, scrimmages, and tournaments. Maintain a safe, respectful learning environment and communicate needs with school staff as appropriate. Complete session completion forms after each scheduled instruction and follow applicable safety and student-protection procedures. Assignments typically run 1–4 hours per week after school for approximately 10 weeks, with compensation of $50+ per instructional service hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 college credits, where required by the applicable assignment or site
- Experience coaching, competing in, or leading organized esports programs or competitive gaming communities
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more popular esports titles appropriate for the assigned program
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school-age students
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom or team facilitation skills
- Availability to provide services for the accepted assignment schedule and communicate schedule issues as soon as reasonably practicable
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with gameplay analysis, team development, tournament organization, streaming platforms, replay review, or related esports technologies
- Backgrounds as esports coaches, educators, collegiate esports players, competitive gamers, youth program leaders, technology instructors, content creators, streamers, game analysts, or others with relevant instructional or competitive gaming experience
