Job Summary
Esports Facility Worker at Grand Canyon University supports day-to-day operations of the GCU Esports Facility, including front-desk operations, facility upkeep, equipment inventory, opening/closing procedures, and liaison duties with the Esports Club. Responsibilities include greeting and engaging campus visitors, presenting information about the facility and GCU Esports to guests, assisting with basic hardware and software repairs related to facility operations, and helping with event planning and live event operations under the Esports Facility Supervisor. Preferred applicants have prior involvement in esports or knowledge of gaming culture and trends, plus customer service or leadership/volunteer experience. The role requires sociable, responsible, and independent work habits, with availability for a 3–4 hour shift between 8:00 am and midnight on weekdays and/or weekends. Employment is contingent on successful pre-employment screening, including a background check, and is offered to students enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s program with GPA requirements. Required Qualifications
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
- Ability to work a three to four hour period between 8:00 am and midnight on weekdays and/or weekends
- Eligibility to work as a student employee at Grand Canyon University
- Maintain SAP status with the University
- Pay rate: Minimum Wage as listed
