ESOL Lecturer

Job Summary
Deliver high quality ESOL teaching across levels from pre-entry/beginners to Level 2 for learners aged 16-18 and 19+. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons, assess and provide feedback on student progress, track attendance and academic performance, and contribute to curriculum development with a focus on inclusion, safeguarding, and professional development. The role requires strong ICT/diagnostic skills, effective communication with parents/carers, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of student learning and achievement.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to degree level
- A recognised ESOL or EFL teaching qualification
- Successful teaching experience in ESOL
- Excellent computer literacy – ability to use the current IT programs of the College
- Proven relevant experience of curriculum planning, development & delivery in ESOL
- Knowledge and understanding of current issues affecting the ESOL cohort
- Engaged and passionate about Continuing Professional Development
- Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills, effective member of a team
- Ability to set high standards for students, colleagues and for themselves
