Job Summary

Manage ESOL classes for refugees and immigrants by contacting students to confirm attendance, scaffolding instruction for individuals or small groups, and coordinating with volunteers to ensure proper coverage including childcare. Support the Adult Education Specialist by preparing student materials, navigating client barriers to education, and communicating with local stakeholders to connect attendees to appropriate services. Collect data to support educational initiatives while adhering to IRC policies on confidentiality and client privacy. This unpaid role reports to the Adult Education Specialist and requires proficiency in more than one language, though it is not required.
