Job Summary
ESOL teacher position within Beaufort County School District focused on educating English language learners in all four language domains (listening, speaking, reading, writing) aligned with state standards. Responsibilities include planning and conducting instruction, creating a dynamic classroom environment, selecting appropriate materials, collaborating with staff, promoting parent involvement, ensuring compliance with federal/state/district policies, and performing related duties as assigned. Requires completion of education program and valid SC teaching certification with ability to become Highly Qualified within 60 days; 190 workdays per year; salary classified on the Certified Personnel Salary Schedule; Exempt employee status.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid South Carolina teaching certificate or be able to obtain one within 60 days from being hired.
