Job Summary
ESL Teacher for K-12 students across Camden Prep campuses, traveling between Camden campuses to support English Learners. Role includes in-class support in general education and small groups, providing sheltered instruction strategies, participating in IEP meetings, following ESSA and WIDA standards, administering WIDA assessments, engaging families, and collaborating with SPED coordinators and school leaders to ensure language acquisition and academic success. Requires Bachelor’s degree (NJ ESL certification), with Master’s degree preferred and at least two years of urban teaching experience; compensation between $56,000 and $80,000 plus comprehensive benefits. Must be able to travel between campuses and contribute to a positive, structured learning environment aligned with Uncommon’s beliefs and equity-focused mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- NJ English as a Second Language State Certification required
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of our students
- Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player
