Job Summary
ESL Teacher will provide and guide instruction for K-12 ESL students across Camden Prep campuses, traveling between campuses as needed. Reports to the Associate Director of Special Education. Responsibilities include in-class support in general education and small groups, providing feedback on sheltered instruction strategies, attending IEP meetings for English Learners, implementing WIDA-aligned language development standards, administering WIDA assessments, engaging families, and focusing on student learning and language acquisition while aligning with ESSA guidelines. The role emphasizes collaboration with Special Education Coordinators and content teachers, ongoing professional growth, and commitment to urban youth achievement. Compensation ranges from $56,000 to $80,000 with benefits and comprehensive professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred
- Valid NJ English as a Second Language State Certification is required
