Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for international teenagers and young adults while evaluating their progress. Act in loco parentis to ensure student discipline, welfare, and safety, adhering to the Student Code of Conduct and reporting any issues to management immediately. Maintain up-to-date attendance records, monitor performance, and submit weekly evaluation reports. Prepare for and co-lead end-of-course ceremonies, regularly photograph students for designated folders or social media, and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops. This two-week summer role requires a bachelor's degree, CELTA certification, native English fluency, and prior ESL experience with teenagers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in TESOL
- CELTA certificate or its equivalent
- Prior ESL experience of teaching teenagers
- Native fluency in English
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Fun and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of responsibility and authority
- Strong organizational skills
- Independence
