ESL TEACHER - NORTH ROWAN HIGH/EAST ROWAN HIGH

Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and administer state-required assessments for English Learners in grades K-12. Schedule and deliver instruction aligned to student needs based on the LIEP matrix and WIDA Standards while maintaining accurate student data and records. Act as a liaison between students, staff, and families by attending parent conferences and designing parent engagement activities. Collaborate with regular education teachers to share instructional strategies and deliver professional development at school sites. Participate in ESL staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Maintain high organizational skills and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This 10-month term of employment supports the district's goal of providing a safe learning environment that promotes academic and social English language proficiency.
