Job Summary
Plan, organize and present instruction and instructional environments to help English Language Learners develop language proficiency and academic skills following WIDA standards; identify ELL students using enrollment information and Home Language Survey; coordinate ACCESS testing within a six-week window; develop lesson plans aligned with ESL curriculum; collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure differentiated instruction and appropriate testing accommodations; maintain student databases for statewide reporting; participate in ESL team meetings, professional development, and school activities; provide instructional support for ELLs and assist with parent communications; coordinate scheduling with counselors and contribute to annual language-proficiency assessments and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Needs to hold an NC Licensure, preferably in the grade range they are teaching.
- Needs to hold an ESL add-on or stand-alone licensure.
