Job Summary
ESL Teacher responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting instruction and environments that support students’ academic and social development. Responsibilities include preparing lessons, managing instructional time, establishing classroom behavior procedures, presenting material clearly, monitoring student performance, providing timely feedback, and coordinating with teacher assistants. Must maintain an instructional plan aligned with curricular goals, use diagnostic information to revise objectives, and sustain orderly, effective classroom operations while fostering fair, equitable interactions with students, colleagues, families, and the community. Requires a degree in education or a related area qualifying for licensure by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Must be able to support students with diverse needs and operate standard classroom tools and technology.
