Job Summary
Implement the YES USA curriculum to deliver engaging English lessons for international students aged 12-20 while evaluating their weekly progress. Act in loco parentis to ensure student discipline, welfare, and safety, adhering to the Student Code of Conduct and reporting any issues to management immediately. Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons, adapt materials as needed, and maintain up-to-date attendance records. Submit weekly evaluation reports, participate in staff meetings, and regularly document student activities for social media. Help co-lead end-of-course ceremonies. Available for 30-hour or 60-hour summer contracts from late July through mid-August at $20-27/hour. Requires a bachelor's degree, CELTA certificate, and prior ESL experience with teenagers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in TESOL
- CELTA certificate or its equivalent
- Prior ESL experience of teaching teenagers
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Fun and outgoing personality
- High level of responsibility and authority
- Strong organizational skills
- Independence
