ESL Instructor - Part-Time

Job Summary
ESL Instructor for part-time evening/weekend classes in North York, ON. Leads daily classes aligned with CLB Curriculum Guidelines, designs lesson plans, develops curricula promoting civic engagement and human rights for newcomer women, fosters an inclusive classroom, integrates in-person teaching with LMS-based online learning, monitors attendance and participation, participates in professional development, and provides monthly and attendance reports. Requires TESL-Ontario certification, a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, at least 3 years of teaching experience (adult/newcomer learners), strong leadership and reporting abilities, familiarity with PBLA and IRCC-funded program expectations, proficiency with language-education software and MS Office, independent time management, and additional language skills are considered an asset. Required Qualifications
- TESL-Ontario certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a similar field
- minimum of three (3) years teaching experience
- leadership and reporting skills
- anti-oppressive/human rights framework
- familiar with program expectations funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
- computer skills with language education software
- time management and organizational skills
- ability to work independently
- fluency in a second language is an asset
