Job Summary
Deliver ESL instruction to international students within ITTC North Bay’s aviation-training context, focusing on practical English communication, aviation-related terminology, and day-to-day language skills to support onboarding and student integration. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, developing materials, assessing progress, adapting to varied language levels and learning styles, maintaining a professional classroom environment, coordinating with ITTC staff to align programming with schedules, and providing feedback to students and leadership. The role is full-time, on-site in North Bay, Ontario, with a compensation range of $25–$35 per hour, and requires strong communication and intercultural skills to support international learners in a fast-paced, performance-driven aviation training setting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching English as a Second Language
- TESL, TESOL, CELTA, OCT, or equivalent certification is preferred
- Experience working with adult learners or international students is considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills
- Experience in aviation, technical training, military training, or a structured operational environment is considered an asset but is not required
