Job Summary
Teach all courses as assigned in the scheduled period of instruction, preparing course syllabi and lesson plans that align with learning outcomes. Mark and evaluate in-class work while maintaining accurate records. Attend pre-sessional orientation and post-session grade reviews, communicating professionally with colleagues and staff. Participate in departmental meetings and campus events such as closing ceremonies. This part-time role (9 September to 16 December 2026) offers a $35.55-$37.88/hour salary within CUPE 4207-3. Work on campus as needed to support Brock University's student-centered approach in the Niagara region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum
- Master's level qualifications in related areas – e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages
Desired Qualifications
- post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL, and particularly overseas
