Job Summary
Review incident investigation reports for completeness, enter data into database systems, and determine if claims are handled in-house or by an insurance carrier. Collect documentation for each incident, track "Good Catch / Close Call" reports, and request medical status updates. Maintain communication with Claims Team, Safety Managers, and third-party administrators while coordinating open claim reviews and safety committee meetings. Submit worker compensation claims, track safety reports and man-hours, and assist employees in returning to regular duties after injury. Provide monthly and quarterly claims status reports and administer safety orientation for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to read and interpret documents (ie accident forms, medical/legal documents, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to effectively and professionally interact with Safety Team members and LCC upper management
- Good organizational and time management skills
- The ability to operate office equipment, including computer, printer, copier, fax, and telephone
- The ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- Workers comp claim experience, or insurance adjusting experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Construction industry experience
- Post high school administrative assistant training

- Great knowledge of database software (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CMIC, etc.)
- Can apply common sense decision making to every day challenges
