ESG/Sustainability Associate

Job Summary
Design and execute ESG and impact assessments for the investment portfolio and programs, contributing technical content for new initiatives including IIX Values. Conduct research on ESG best practices and trends while supporting the development of reporting materials and stakeholder engagement strategies. Improve internal ESG management systems and develop thought leadership content to meet fundraising and mission goals. Participate in industry events and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate sustainability considerations. Fully remote within APAC with travel availability required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development, Public Health, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Min 4 years experience in International development
- Working with internationally focused organizations (foundations, non-profits, donors)
- Sustainability/ESG consulting experience
- Experience with internationally focused consulting/advisory organizations
- Demonstrated experience measuring impact in emerging markets
- Familiarity with metrics like IRIS and SROI
- Strong understanding of key concepts and methodologies in ESG
- Demonstrated expertise in one of IIX's priority sectors (energy, agriculture, water, health, education)
- Emerging markets experience
- Field-level development experience, preferably in Asia and the Pacific
- Exceptional public speaking, writing, and storytelling abilities
- Ability to translate vision into action and drive measurable results
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects
- Fully remote within APAC region
- Availability to travel
