ESG Research Analyst

Job Summary
The ESG Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting ESG research on sectors, industries, and individual companies, engaging with company holdings on ESG initiatives. Key responsibilities include utilizing the Parnassus ESG research process to prepare recommendations, performing annual reviews of holdings, preparing summaries on material ESG controversies, and generating engagements through the Parnassus impact engagement process. Candidates should possess strong research, analytical, and communication skills, along with at least two years of ESG investing or stewardship experience. A bachelor's degree is required, and candidates should be willing to obtain Series 6 and Series 65 licenses within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of ESG investing or stewardship experience
- Excellent research, analytical, written and public speaking skills
- Ability to work closely with team members and individually to efficiently meet deadlines
- Series 6 and Series 65 licenses (or be willing to obtain within six months of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with MSCI ESG Manager
- Familiar with Sustainalytics
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
