Job Summary
Develop and track ESG and sustainability initiatives while owning the management of the social accountability program. Engage with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and auditors to ensure messaging is consistently conveyed and customer sustainability requirements are met. Partner with Communications and Marketing to develop sustainability content for strategic employee, customer, and investor engagement activities. Lead tactical external engagement activities including ESG rating systems and facilitate core programs to maintain focus and accountability. Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Supply Chain, HR, EHS, and Engineering to support strategy roadmap deliverables. Cultivate relationships with industry peers and teammates to drive alignment and achieve strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years general business experience
- Understanding of ESG and sustainability strategies, insights, metrics, and reporting
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders to drive alignment and achieve strategic objectives
- Able to adjust to changing circumstances
- Is flexible, resilient, collaborative and solution oriented
- Enthusiastic about expanding knowledge and continuous improvement
- Strong ability to think logically, manage projects, problem-solve, and lead initiatives in an organized and efficient manner
- Experience effectively working across multiple departments to support a project or resolve an organizational challenge
- Demonstrated successful interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to communicate with internal teams at all levels of the organization, field level to executive leaders
- High proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects & work independently
- Some travel may be required to plant locations
Desired Qualifications
- Sustainability or general business preferred
- preferred experience in ESG or Sustainability
- Candidates with Supply Chain, Communications, or Marketing experience may be considered
