ESG and Sustainability Manager

Job Summary
ESG and Sustainability Manager responsible for developing and delivering the local ESG strategy in Egypt in alignment with Bupa’s global ESG initiatives, ensuring regulatory reporting to the FRA, and increasing positive social impact. Role includes leading local ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with Egyptian regulations, coordinating with BEI/Bupa Global ESG teams, driving environmental improvements (energy, waste, water), developing local social impact programs, and engaging with cross-functional teams and external providers to advance the Better World ESG strategy. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 5+ years in sustainability/ESG, experience with international ESG frameworks and FRA reporting, and strong stakeholder management, leadership, and data-driven reporting capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Economics, Political Science/Policy or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in sustainability / ESG roles
- Experience managing a sustainability agenda for an international company
- ESG and TCFD reporting experience to FRA or other regulating bodies
- Exposure to international ESG frameworks and best practices
- ESG or sustainability certifications (preferred) such as GRI, CFA ESG, ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor/ Practitioner, Climate-related qualifications
- Experience in executive board and committees reporting and presenting
- Program design, delivery, measurement, and reporting
- Strong data handling and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate insights into actions
- Leadership and programme management capabilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Commitment to sustainability and ESG strategy
