Job Summary
Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students, prepare detailed lesson plans for administrator approval, and distribute quarterly progress reports. Communicate with staff and families regarding student progress, participate in scheduled IEP meetings, and confer with on-site therapists on behavioral issues. Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student development while maintaining a safe, productive classroom environment. Invite family members to participate in educational progress reviews. Requires Gen Ed and Special Education licensure, IEP writing experience, and a Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Special Education Certificate (according to FL Department of Education requirements)
- Gen Ed Teaching Licensure
- experience with IEP writing, meetings etc
- Experience working with K-12 children
