ESE School-Based Liaison

Schedule, facilitate, and serve as the district representative at all annual IEP meetings, amendment meetings, and re-evaluation determination meetings. Ensure federal, state, and district timelines are met for annual reviews and triennial re-evaluations. Prepare, maintain, and submit accurate records and reports for audit preparation, FTE counts, and per period counts as assigned by the ESE Director. Act as a resource to school personnel and parents regarding ESE rules, compliance requirements, positive behavioral supports, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Collaborate with school-based staff to ensure appropriate services are provided for students with disabilities in all settings. Mentor teachers on effective teaching strategies and assist with IEP development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior and academic achievement data. Conduct articulation IEP meetings between schools and provide professional development to support inclusive education and least restrictive environment.
