Escrow Specialist – Commercial/Multifamily Loan Servicing

Job Summary
Review, quality control, and approve escrow disbursements for Real Estate Taxes, Insurance, and Mortgage Insurance to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to fund release. Monitor escrow balances to identify shortages or surpluses, validate annual escrow analyses, and resolve complex inquiries regarding tax delinquencies or insurance cancellations. Act as a central resource for the team by resolving escalations, providing guidance, and collaborating cross-functionally with Servicing, Finance, and Investor Reporting to maintain data integrity. Identify process improvements to strengthen controls and enhance workflow efficiency. This role supports CPC's mission to expand affordable housing and closing the racial wealth gap through rigorous adherence to servicing agreements and investor requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial loan servicing or escrow operations
- strong knowledge of escrow analysis, disbursements, and investor requirements
- Advanced understanding of tax cycles, insurance requirements, and escrow methodologies
- ability to independently review and validate complex scenarios
- Proven ability to perform detailed review, QC, and approvals with strong judgment and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
- Proficiency in loan servicing systems (e.g., Strategy/McCracken) and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel as needed

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field preferred
- Agency experience preferred
