Job Summary
Prepare documents for escrow processing, conveyance, and title recording while clearing title requirements and issuing title insurance. Coordinate daily responsibilities with the Branch or Escrow Manager, obtain demands and releases, and draw instructions for signing. Audit and close files upon receipt of funds and documents, then disburse funds and write escrow instructions consistent with party requirements. Estimate closing funds, obtain deposits, review preliminary title reports for vesting, reconcile discrepancies, and order beneficiary statements or prorated items. Direct settlement sheet preparation and train associates on office procedures. Maintain confidentiality and comply with escrow accounting and Good Funds Law. Solicit business in-person or virtually and prepare account servicing setups. Requires at least three years of escrow experience, a Notary license, and a valid driver's license. Base hourly rate ranges from $28.29 to $44, subject to adjustment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of Escrow Officer experience
- Supervisory experience
- Notary license
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to read plans
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
- Ability to perform occasional operation of construction equipment
- Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours
