Job Summary
Coordinate the escrow process from start to finish, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, reviewed, and filed accurately. Manage property titles, verify debts are paid, and oversee the safekeeping and transfer of earnest money upon closing. Prepare and review closing documents, including settlement statements and title insurance policies, while conducting research on property records to identify discrepancies. Communicate progress updates to clients and stakeholders, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the transaction.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, including experience with FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, and Fair Housing regulations
- Familiarity with loan processing, loan origination, underwriting, and mortgage servicing
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for reviewing complex financial documents
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple escrow transactions simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in math to accurately calculate fees, interest rates, and prorated amounts
- High level of professionalism and integrity in handling confidential client information
- Prior experience as an Escrow Officer or a similar role in the financial services industry
