Escrow Officer

Job Summary
Manage escrow files from receipt through completion, administering construction, commercial, and residential accounts while clearing title exceptions and waiving exceptions as authorized. Meet with attorneys, realtors, and lenders to draft instructions, verify title commitments, and prepare closing packages including pay-off statements and lien releases. Execute closing documents, disburse funds per accounting procedures, and maintain trust accounts. Develop a client base through marketing and exceptional service while addressing inquiries regarding insurance, taxes, and foreclosures. Operate a company vehicle and function in a high-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Four years' experience, including experience as an Escrow Officer, Escrow Assistant, or other related experience
- Has a passion for working with people, is customer service oriented, and has the ability to create meaningful relationships
- Excellent Sales and marketing skills
- Is very organized with attention to detail and has proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Has the ability to prioritize tasks and to notify others when assistance is needed
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Basic to advanced computer skills, including Google Suite or related software, and has the ability to learn new programs
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a Notary or receive one within 90 days of starting
- Applicants offered a position must be able to pass a pre-employment background and MVR check
