Job Summary
Escrow Assistant I provides general office support to the Escrow office including preparing, packaging and ordering escrow information, sending instructions to lender, obtaining various escrow documents and miscellaneous opening procedures. May serve as a back up to other office staff. Assists with special projects as needed. Responsibilities include miscellaneous opening procedures, sending certified escrow instructions to lender, providing information to open refinance or resale escrow, obtaining Legal and Vesting (L&V) for title, opening title search for refinance and resale escrow, preparing and packaging loan escrow instructions and required documents, ordering demands and statements, accurately prepare receipts and disseminate information to appropriate parties, printing HUD-1 and closing statements, reconciling bank statements and A/R ledgers, printing checks, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior escrow receptionist experience, six months of office/administrative experience, strong PC skills, ability to work independently, excellent organization, and strong communication and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or the equivalent
- Previous Escrow Receptionist experience required
- Past office/administrative experience of at least six months
- Strong personal computer skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on details to ensure accuracy
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
