Job Summary
Audit, adjust, and analyze escrow accounts to ensure loan compliance with state, federal, and investor guidelines. Process loss draft claims, restricted escrow, and escrow surplus disbursements while responding to customer and vendor inquiries. Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, applying critical thinking and accounting skills to maintain accuracy. Requires five years of experience in mortgage servicing, escrow analysis, or insurance/tax servicing, including knowledge of RESPA and platforms like Black Knight or ICE. This role supports the Escrow Administration Department at Virginia Housing, a leading housing finance agency dedicated to helping Virginians attain affordable housing through lending and grant programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mortgage Servicing, Escrow Analysis, Insurance/Tax Servicing including Loss Draft Claims
- Knowledge of RESPA guidelines, industry standards, consumer protection laws & regulations impacting escrow operations areas
- Extensive critical thinking skills
- Aptitude for figures and accounting functions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and project initiatives simultaneously with keen attention to detail
- Must be able to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Must be able to complete a background check as a condition of employment
- Must be able to complete a Conflict-of-Interest Act Disclosure form as a condition of employment
- Must be able to complete a Secondary Employment Disclosure form as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior working experience with Mortgage platform Black Knight/ICE/MSP
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, data analysis, and Sharepoint
