Job Summary
Escalator Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of escalators and related equipment, with emphasis on fault diagnosis, safety and quality standards, and timely resolutions. You will produce clear process documentation and cost reporting to support decision-making, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Field Engineers, and support across the service delivery spectrum. The role covers key stations around Greater London and the M25 corridor, with working hours 19:00–07:00 on a 4 on/4 off pattern. Core duties include performing inspections and surveys, managing safety and risk assessments, coordinating materials procurement, handling client liaison, and providing progress and incident reporting, commissioning support, and cross-area engineering support. Qualifications include NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) and proven experience in electrical, mechanical, or electronic equipment maintenance in customer environments. A full UK right to work is required; sponsorship is not available. Required Qualifications
- NVQ level 4 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in maintenance and minor repair on electrical, mechanical or electronic equipment
- Experience with computer or PDA use to log calls and access customer/equipment information
