Escalator/Elevator Inspector

Job Summary
Inspect elevators, escalators, moving walkways, platform lifts and dumbwaiters for safety and regulatory compliance; conduct functional and safety device tests, witness load tests and commissioning of new or modernized installations; prepare clear inspection reports, certificates, non-conformance notices and punch lists; review maintenance records and preventive maintenance plans; ensure inspections comply with EN standards, ASME A17.1/CSA B44 and local codes; liaise with service contractors, manufacturers and building owners/engineers to clarify findings and agree on remedial actions; maintain inspection schedules and stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices; demonstrate strong report writing, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills; perform site-based inspections with the ability to work at heights and using diagnostic tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in elevator/escalator inspection, maintenance, testing or commissioning
- Recognized technical qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering, lift technology or equivalent trade certification
- Relevant inspection certification or accreditation (where applicable in the jurisdiction) is strongly preferred
- Valid driving licence to travel between sites
- Immediate availability preferred
