Job Summary

ERS-Supervising Engineer responsible for supervising field service engineers and technicians, performing complex electrical troubleshooting, commissioning of large substations and turnkey projects, and leading projects with specialized tests and inspections. Focus areas include generator acceptance tests, power quality surveys, UPS/drive systems, high-voltage equipment, and adherence to NEC/NFPA/UL specifications. Role requires fieldwork, extensive client interface and business development, estimating and proposal preparation, scheduling, and detailed reporting with timely billing. Travel up to several weeks, with the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires strong leadership and communication skills, a solid technical foundation in electrical power systems, and experience managing large projects and field operations. Educational prerequisites include a BSEE/BSME degree (or equivalent combinations as listed), with NETA 3 certification or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME and six years’ experience; OR
  • Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and nine years minimum same or similar work experience; OR
  • High school education or equivalent and ten years minimum same or similar work experience.
  • NETA 3 Certification or equivalent experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and night work
  • Experience with power quality surveys, generator start-up, ANSI/NEMA/UL specs
  • Strong communication, supervisory, organizational and management skills
  • Experience with switchgear and equipment testing through 500-kV class
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and reporting; writing detailed reports; billing
