Job Summary
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated large-scale projects. May oversee a single or multiple projects as the situation allows, ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and profitability by performing duties personally and through assigned Field Engineers and Technicians. Responsibilities include reviewing proposals to determine time frame, funding, staffing, and resources; coordinating with Service Center Manager/Region Director to outline work plans; establishing staffing for project phases; directing activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget; reviewing status reports, preparing project reports for management/clients, and providing technical advice to resolve problems. Mentors junior personnel in project management practices. Competencies include customer focus, decision quality, integrity and trust, listening, problem solving, standing alone. Requires knowledge of NEC and standards, proficiency with common PM software, willingness to work flexible hours and travel, and a valid driver’s license. The role emphasizes supervisory responsibility for Field Engineers and Technicians and participation in development of large-scale PM processes; travel up to international, domestic, and out-of-town assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code and various industry standards such as OSHA and NFPA
- Proficient with MS Word, Project, Excel, Power Point, Latista, Google Docs and other project management software and applications
- Valid Driver’s License
