ERS NETA Electrical Testing Technician – Charleston

Job Summary
Lead-led role performing testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems, troubleshooting and calibrating relays, performing tests on low to 15 kV switchgear, contributing to complex analyses and equipment labeling projects, writing detailed project reports and proposals, and supporting business development with client estimates and scope/pricing. Requires travel up to 50%, strong NEC/NFPA knowledge, NETA certification, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and peers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME
- Graduate of Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent with years of experience
- High school education or equivalent with four years of experience
- Knowledge of NEC and OSHA/NFPA
- Passed NETA exam
- Strong switchgear testing experience to 15 kV
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Willing to work flexible hours, travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to prepare written proposals with estimates of man-hours and expenses
