Job Summary
Erosion Control Crew Leader: leading a small field crew (1–2 workers) on erosion-control installs and BMPs in the Venice–Sarasota–North Port corridor. Hands-on labor with responsibilities including directing work, setting daily pace, training new hires, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Install and maintain silt fence and stormwater BMPs on active construction sites, post-setting and inlet protection, and ongoing repair. Safely operate a Ditch Witch SK900 (or similar) mini skid steer/trencher and a company cab-over truck/trailer; load, unload, and secure equipment and materials. Ensure all work meets Florida stormwater (NPDES) requirements, walk sites to identify deficiencies, and keep sites inspection-ready. Communicate professionally with site superintendents and the home office, manage materials and inventory, and lead safety briefings. Requires 2+ years of erosion-control experience, knowledge of NPDES, CDL is a strong plus, Valid Driver’s License, and English/Spanish bilingual abilities are a strong plus. This is a hands-on, labor-heavy role with steady, year-round work and potential overtime, paid at $20–$24/hour with a monthly performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications

- Knows NPDES / stormwater compliance
- Comfortable operating a Ditch Witch SK900 (or similar) mini skid steer/trencher and related equipment
- Valid Driver’s License
