Job Summary
ER-Triage Technician or Assistant is responsible for triage within the ER/Inpatient Services, collaborates with front desk and E/CC staff, and provides high-quality triage to clients. Duties include performing physical exams on companion and exotic animals (avian, reptiles, small mammals), assisting with phlebotomy, intravenous catheterization, collecting urine via cystocentesis or catheterization, and monitoring vital signs. Requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, independence, and ability to train staff; communicates with pet guardians effectively and educates staff about triage processes. Swing shift, full-time, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for CVTs.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required in order to be hired as a Technician.
- At least 3 years of veterinary technician/assistant experience required.
- 1 year of experience in an emergency setting preferred.
- Experience with Avian & Exotics preferred.
