Perform patient care for ESD patients under the direction of the ESD RN or physician. Report sentinel events or adverse drug reactions as warranted. Handle telecommunications and perform short form registrations with minimal errors. Use two patient identifiers before treatments and reassess patients after interventions. Provide treatments as ordered, document in EHR, and educate patients and families. Accurately take vital signs, weights, and intake/output; enter orders and sign off. Place patients on monitors, record rhythm strips, and perform clinical skills like Foley catheter insertion and IVs. Assist with procedures, transport patients, and communicate effectively with team members via IHERN radio. Collect and label specimens correctly while demonstrating equipment knowledge. Demonstrate awareness of patient rights, spiritual aspects of care, and ethical considerations. Requires current BLS certification and high school diploma; no work experience required.
