Job Summary
Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioners while engaging critical thinking skills to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment. Utilize knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction. Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team while advocating for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C
- Successful completion of EMT Training Course
- MA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within 180 days of hire
- CNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date as determined by location
- Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations does not require the MA-P
- Previous BLS Certification
- Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT, in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years
