Job Summary
Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioners while engaging critical thinking skills to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment. Utilize nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction while fostering a learning environment for patients, families, and staff. Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse backgrounds. This 12-hour day shift role at Capital Medical Center supports the hospital's mission of award-winning care across 20 specialties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C
- Successful completion of EMT Training Course
- MA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within 180 days of hire
- CNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date as determined by location
- Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations does not require the MA-P
- Previous BLS Certification
- Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT, in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years
Desired Qualifications
