Job Summary
Assist emergency physicians and nurses with patient care in the Emergency Department by setting up IVs, placing patients on monitors, performing EKGs, and assisting with suturing and splinting. Document vital signs and care in the EMR, transport patients to appropriate areas, and prepare rooms and carts between shifts. Monitor equipment and inventory supplies, answer call lights and phones, and provide bedside testing and patient updates. Maintain patient safety by securing side rails and ensuring proper restraint protocols. Work nights with a 24-hour schedule, earning $20.00-$28.00.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience as CNA, EMT, Nursing Student or equivalent health care experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Active CNA license
- Active EMT certification
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program
- Maintain current Health Care Provider Level BCLS
