Job Summary
ER Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MercyOne Genesis Silvis, IL. Full-time 12-hour day shifts (06-1830), every other weekend, holiday rotation. Provides rapid and comprehensive assessments, triage using ESI, develops Emergency Care Plans, administers medications and procedures, initiates life-saving interventions (including CPR/defibrillation/airway management), coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, documents outcomes, communicates with physicians, patients, and families, participates in shift handoffs and trauma huddles, maintains competency in emergency procedures, adheres to infection control and safety protocols, and supports mission/values in a collaborative leadership environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Current Iowa RN license, (MercyOne Genesis - current Registered Nurse (RN) license in either Iowa or Illinois is required at the time of hire. A secondary RN license for the other state must be obtained within 12 months of the hire date)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- RN license in Iowa or Illinois
- Secondary RN license in the other state within 12 months of hire
