Job Summary
ER Registrar role focused on accurate patient demographic and insurance data capture through in-person and telephone interactions. Responsible for scheduling procedures, securing necessary authorizations, pre-registering patients with correct demographic information, and maintaining organized patient records. Delivers courteous, timely customer service, verifies insurance eligibility, captures health insurance details, communicates operative reports to physician offices, and assists with medical records requests. Maintains registration and medical records systems, prepares charts for procedures, and adheres to policies. Requires strong interpersonal skills, confidentiality, proficiency with registration systems, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required
- 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role required
