ER Registered Nurse - Swing/Night shift

Job Summary
ER RN responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room. Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific and specialty-appropriate nursing care by applying advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills; ensure comfort and safety of patients/families. Document medical records accurately and legibly. Observe and record signs, symptoms and physiological status; propose revisions to interventions and outcomes. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; follow physician orders in delivery of care. Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and procedures, COLA and CLIA; adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques. Perform admissions, discharges and transfers; participate in evaluating nursing care; assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures; perform or assist with procedures. Attend mandatory meetings; perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree, required; BSN, preferred
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required
- 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience, required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, required; ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification; TNCC preferred
